Business forum and networking group
Building a trusted network of business contacts is crucial for most businesses and The Business Forum has been set up to help you expand your network with like-minded business people as well as provide a forum for discussion of some of the key topics of relevance to all businesses.
The December meeting for the group will be on Thursday 4 December 2008 at 7.15am, finishing at 9.15am, and will be at the beautiful setting of Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire. The group meets for breakfast on the first Thursday of each month and there is a different theme each month. The December event will follow this structure:-
7.15am Tea/coffee on arrival at the Wellesley Dining Room
7.30am Full English breakfast
c8.15am Brief introductions
c8.40am 15 minute talk by Chris Dodson, MD of Torftech and Chairman of the Institute of Directors' Berkshire branch
"Is education providing the skills that businesses need?”
Followed by a discussion led by Chris Dodson
9.10am Closing words and notices
9.15am Meeting ends

Chris Dodson's business is in engineering and technology and he will talk about his experiences from his own business and the wider business community in finding the right skills. Can education do more to provide the skills that businesses really need?
Chris will then lead a discussion based around this theme calling on attendees to put forward their own views or experiences.
