Business forum and networking group
Building a trusted network of business contacts is crucial for most businesses and The Business Forum has been set up to help you expand your network with like-minded business people as well as provide a forum for discussion of some of the key topics of relevance to all businesses.
The August meeting for the group will be on Thursday 6 August 2009 at 7.15am, finishing at 9.15am, and will be at the beautiful setting of Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire. The group meets for breakfast on the first Thursday of each month and there is a different theme each month. The August event will follow this structure:-
7.15am Tea/coffee on arrival at the Wellesley Dining Room
7.30am Full English breakfast
c8.15am Brief introductions
c8.40am 15 minute talk by Gary Fisher, Director of GEFConsult
"How to lead change - eight steps to help you on your journey. "
Followed by a discussion led by Gary Fisher
9.14am Closing words and notices
9.15am Meeting ends

Change can be a complex process both for organisations who have to respond to competitive pressures in rapidly changing and sometimes hostile environments, and for individuals who have to behave more effectively within organisations with new goals, culture or processes. It is essesntial to understand the principles of change leadership and put them into play, misalign the organisational needs for change with the aspirations and expectations of employees and the latter will turn alien and you will not have successful change. Gary will then lead a discussion on this theme.

The group is membership based, although guests are welcome to attend two meetings before deciding whether or not they would like to join. Annual membership is £45. Please complete the membership form if you wish to join.
